Yong Se Kim is a Full Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Turku, Finland, and the Director of the Turku Design Studio. He earned his PhD from Stanford University and has held academic positions at several universities. He’s a member of the ServDes committee and the Design Society’s Product-Service Systems Design group.


He’s recently given keynote speeches at international summits. Kim led a significant research project on Product-Service Systems Design funded by the Korean Ministry of Industry, resulting in 16 showcase projects across various industries. His current research focuses on designing smart and smooth experiences in diverse areas.
